Black flag raised over dome of Imam Reza Shrine
Coinciding with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa ibn Ja‘far and following the government’s declaration of three days of national mourning after the recent terrorist attacks in the country, the dome flag and the covering of the sacred burial chamber of Imam Reza were changed to black on January 12, 2026.
