AQR’s Intl. Center for Printing and Publishing Quran, pioneer in the world

Astan Qods Razavi’s Center for Printing and Publishing Quran has published over 45 million volumes of religious and cultural books and it is now one of the most progressive publishers at national and international levels, says Masoud Mohaddes, director of center.

International Center for Printing and Publishing Quran, as Mohaddes says, was established in late 2010 with best printing and binding facilities in accordance with latest technology. “Using most advanced German and Japanese printing facilities, Quran Printing House in Mashhad managed to establish new standards of religious printing in the country”.
Pointing that the center has already published more than 45 million volumes of books including Quran, Nahj al-Balaghah, Mafatih al-Jenan and other cultural and religious works, he said: “All printing works are carried out inside the center and with modern machines; the center is also capable of producing a variety of hard and soft cover books in best quality”.
The official added: “Printing copies of the holy Quran in Azeri, Urdu, English, French, and German languages and completing the great project of printing Ferdowsi's Shahnameh for the government of Tajikistan are among outstanding achievements of this center”.
Mohaddes went on to say: “The center has received many orders from Canada, Iraq, Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. Printing exquisite Qurans for Imam Ali Shrine is also another important international project”.
Emphasizing that 59 types of Quran with different handwritten works such as Neyrizi, Othman Taha, etc. has been published in different sizes for different age groups, he stated that From March to September 2025, the center produced one million and two hundred volumes of books and it is expected to exceed last year’s record till the end of the Persian calendar year”.
He further said: “Some outstanding works will be introduced this year which include a copy of Quran in Master Renani’s handwriting ready to be printed with gold, silver illumination. Also, a text of Quran attributed to Imam Hussain (AS) with a high historical and artistic value will be put to print”.
Concluding his remarks, the official said: “The center is a symbol of integration of Iranian art and modern industry of printing at the service of Islamic culture. It is now considered as the main hub of printing of the holy Quran and religious works in Iran and across the region”.
