Imam Reza Shrine hosts funeral ceremony for Hoj. Khatib

The funeral ceremony was held at Great Prophet Courtyard of the shrine for Hoj. Khatib, the former Intelligence Minister of the Islamic Republic and his martyred companions.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony, Hoj. Moradi, an old friend of Hoj. Khatib, recounted a memory of him, saying: “Martyr Khatib was a religious, courageous and humble manager. He was the Intelligence Minister in two totally different administrations, fighting at the front of intelligence war with Mosad and CIA”.
Hoj. Moradi further pointed to the invisible role played by intelligence apparatus in securing peace in society, saying: “The same day you peacefully go to work, go on trips and have fun, people from the Ministry of Intelligence and IRGC’s Intelligence body get martyred to foil enemy’s plots, so that ordinary people do not panic and fear”. 
Talking about late Hoj. Khatib’s significance for the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, he added: “I heard from different sources that the martyred Leader was satisfied with Hoj. Khatib’s performance in the Ministry of Intelligence; this is a great honor that both the current and martyred leaders were positive about him”.
