Why did you choose “human dignity” as main motto of this event while the region is facing such tensions?
The motto of “human dignity" is not a moral choice; it’s exactly the answer to today's tense situations. We stand against bullies of the world in a generous resistance. Our goal in Imam Reza Global Congress is to promote voice of this resistance from the level of pure emotion to the level of a scientific and international discourse by relying on Razavi conduct and rationality”.
How much have you been successful in attracting the elite from non-Muslim countries? Has this message been heard beyond religious boundaries?
Fortunately, yes. We witnessed contributions of scholars who are not even Muslims; In fact, we have focused around morality and justice. This shows the huge capacity of the Razavi discourse which passes through the scope of geographical and religious boundaries. The congress has become a platform for a more intercultural dialogue.
War situations and diplomatic limitations affect international moves. What measures the secretariat has done to overcome this issue?
Yes, the situation has affected the congress; however, we have changed it to an opportunity. We have developed virtual panels by boosting modern infrastructures. These online distance connections even consolidated our scientific relations.
Is there a track of recent tensions in submitted articles?
We have received significant works dealing with issues such as resistance against the tyranny. These works prove that "resistance" in Razavi thought is not merely a political tactic; it is rooted in moral responsibility and human dignity.
How does the secretariat preserve intellectual heritage of martyred Leader Ayatollah Khamenei?
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s emphasis on science and his civilizational viewpoint about Razavi teachings are light of our path. We tried to make this kind of viewpoint alive by defining scientific topics.
Taking possible shift during this congress into account, what is general massage of this congress at the present time in your idea?
Our message is clear. Islamic Iran has never stopped its scientific development and cultural dialogue despite all pressures. Holding this congress shows Iran’s cultural stability and scientific authority.
As the last question and with respect to your position as professor of Islamic studies, what would be Imam Reza’s advice to us if he has been among us today?
I believe, Imam Reza’s advice to us would be unity and synergic resistance. He would emphasize on resistance against the tyranny through path of enlightenment and rationality. A kind of resistance in which people become united through dialogue and co-acceptance.
