AQR Central Library preserves over 250 manuscripts on Imam Sadiq (AS)
Astan Qods Razavi’s Central Library preserves a collection of over 250 exquisite manuscripts attributed or related to Imam Sadiq (AS).

Speaking on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sadiq (AS), Seyyed Jalal Hosseini, head of the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Documents Center of Astan Qods Razavi, said: “There are 250 manuscripts attributed to Imam Sadiq (AS) in Manuscripts Center of the Central Library at the moment. "A copy of holy Quran with handwriting attributed to Imam Sadiq (AS) is one of these works known in the Central Library as Quran No. 17”. 
Hoj. Hosseini stated: “This manuscript has been written in Kufic calligraphy with its endowment paper signed by Sheikh Bahaei at its first page. This holy copy of Quran has been illuminated beautifully with red, blue, and golden colors particularly at beginning of each Surah. The last page of this manuscript says “This holy book has been written by Jaafar Ibn Mohammad al-Sadiq (AS)”. 
The official stressed: “The book of Al Haliljah Fi Tohid is another book of the center attributed to the Sixth Shia Imam (AS). This exquisite work was dedicated to the holy shrine’s Central Library by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei”.
Hoj Hosseini continued: “Imam Sadiq (AS) has written this book in response to the ideas of a person named Mofazel ibn Omar on theology and monotheism”.  
He added: “This work has been written in Nastaliq calligraphy by Mahmoud ibn Abd al-Azim Mousavi in 22 yellow and 16-line pages in 1868. Some pages of this work has illuminations of branches and leaves and its cover has been made up of leather”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hosseini referred to Mesbah al-Shariah and Meftah al-Haqiqah as another exquisite work of the collection attributed to Imam Sadiq (AS) saying, “This work has been compiled with Naskh calligraphy in 36 23-line pages. This work which contains short sayings of Imam Sadiq (AS) on ethical and religious issues was dedicated to the complex by Hoj. Ali Qaravi in 2003”. 
According to him, Tohid Mofazel is another book related to Imam Sadiq (AS) dating back to three centuries ago. The book is in Arabic and it contains secrets and wonders behind creation of heaven and earth giving rational reasons and natural evidences about existence of Allah. All these have been said by Imam Sadiq (AS) to Mofazel ibn Omar Jo’fi Kufi and he has brought all those sayings on paper”.
“This work was written in Naskh calligraphy by Mohammad Shafi on 106 14-line pages and was presented to the holy complex museum by Shams al-Din Parvizi in 1964,” he noted.
Concluding his remarks, Hoj. Hosseini stated: “Researchers can obtain digital copies of these works by asking people in charge. Those seeking virtual services can also visit website of the library on «https://digital.aqr.ir»”. 
A collection of printed works with a focus on of Imam Sadiq (AS) is also available in all affiliated libraries to Astan Qods Razavi all around the country.
