Ceremony observes replacement of dome flag, fabric cover of holy chamber at Imam Reza Shrine

Ceremony observes replacement of dome flag, fabric cover of holy chamber at Imam Reza Shrine
The dome flag and fabric cover of the holy chamber at Imam Reza Shrine were replaced on the occasion of Imam’s birthday anniversary with custodian of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) in attendance.

Like other courtyards, Enghelab Courtyard of the holy shrine was adorned with most beautiful and fragrant flowers on this birthday.
The ancient ceremony of replacing the dome flag and the fabric covering of the holy chamber began amidst salutations and blessings of the servants with recitation of verses from the holy Quran by one of salient Quran reciters.
In continuation, the custodian of the holy shrine offered his greetings and congratulations to the servants of the complex on the auspicious birthday anniversary of the eighth Imam (AS)”.
The next part of this magnificent ceremony was the eulogy recitation by Amir Aref, who praised and glorified Imam Reza (AS) on this festive event.
In the next part of the ceremony, Hoj. Naser Rafiee, while commemorating the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) and the memory of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated: “Imam Reza (AS) says Do not abandon righteous deeds and striving in worship while relying on the love of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), nor neglect their commands while relying on worship alone, for neither one without the other will be accepted”.
Preacher of the holy shrine added: “Love for Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and performing good deeds together lead a person to happiness and salvation. Righteous deeds without love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) without righteous deeds, are useless”.
In the final part of this spiritual ceremony which was held in the presence of Ayat. Marvi and a number of AQR managers, the flag of the illuminated dome and the fabric covering of the holy chamber were handed over by the custodian to the head and deputy of the sixth shift.
It is worth mentioning that during the installation and raising of the green flag atop the golden dome and replacement of the covering of the radiant chamber of Imam Reza (AS), the kettledrum players also added to the splendor of the ceremony by playing their drums, heralding the morning of the birthday of the Eighth Imam (AS).
