Middle East moves beyond era of U.S. hegemony: Cleric
Regional transformations mark beginning of a new era as Middle East moves past American dominance toward emerging global order.

Hoj. Seyyed Mofid Hosseini, deputy for international affairs of the seminaries, explained in a session held at Imam Reza Shrine that the Ramadan War has become “a historical demarcation between two periods of the contemporary world”, showing that political, religious, and civilizational structures are undergoing substantial change.
“The developments of this war have reshaped power equations across the region, and signs of the collapse of the dominance system are now evident from the Persian Gulf to the axis of resistance”, he maintained.
Hoj. Hosseini noted: “Regional states have moved beyond security dependence on the United States and are increasingly diverging from the policies of Washington and Tel Aviv”.
He asserted that the economies of several countries, including the UAE and Qatar, have suffered due to alignment with the United States during the recent conflict, which has intensified capital flight.
The deputy of international affairs for seminaries stressed: “If this situation is guided wisely toward sustainable economic cooperation, it could provide the foundation for a new Islamic civilization – a point repeatedly emphasized by the martyred Leader”.
He went on to say that the United States has passed the era of maximum presence in the Middle East and its power is in decline.
“In contrast, the resistance front, through operational cohesion among Iran, Iraq, Yemen, and Lebanon, is shifting toward an offensive posture”, Hoj. Hosseini argued.
He added:  “The Ramadan War has expanded beyond the military sphere into economic, media, and cognitive arenas”.
He concluded by calling on the seminaries to prepare for intellectual and discursive engagement in this new phase of Islamic civilization-building.
