Pakistan interior minister visits Imam Reza Shrine

Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, paid a pilgrimage visit to Imam Reza Shrine during an unofficial trip to the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, holding brief talks with deputy custodian of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) on services for Pakistani pilgrims.

During the visit on May 18, the Pakistani interior minister held a brief meeting with Mostafa Feizi, deputy custodian of Astan Qods Razavi.
Naqvi expressed appreciation for the hospitality of AQR and commended the services provided to Pakistani pilgrims visiting Mashhad.  
He also praised efforts undertaken to facilitate pilgrimage for visitors traveling from Pakistan.
The Pakistani senior official further acknowledged activities carried out by AQR in serving pilgrims and wished the people of Iran calm and improved conditions amid ongoing regional developments.
For his part, Feizi welcomed the Pakistani delegation and emphasized the special place Pakistani pilgrims hold at Imam Reza Shrine.  
“AQR remains committed to providing services and facilities for these visitors”, he stressed.
Referring to Arbaeen pilgrimage trips, Feizi noted: “A significant number of Pakistani pilgrims pass through Iran en route to the holy shrines in Iraq”.  
He explained that special arrangements and facilities have been considered to facilitate their journey and improve services provided to them.
