AQR holds Hazrat Ruqayya martyrdom aniv. ceremony for female pilgrims

Astan Qods Razavi holds special mourning program “Ruqayya is Not Alone” concurrent with martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ruqayya (SA) at Dar al-Rahmah Portico of the holy shrine having 120 women pilgrims from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Oman, and other Arabic-speaking countries in attendance. 

The program was held on Monday evening, July 22, by West Asian women's section of the Office for foreign Pilgrims Affairs with the aim of explaining the link between message of Ashura and sacrifice and oppression of the martyred daughters of the Resistance Front, especially student martyrs of Iran, Lebanon, and other resistance regions.
Referring to the position of Hazrat Ruqayya (SA) in the culture of Ashura, speaker of the ceremony, Ms. Taqlid Mohammad Juni from Lebanon, emphasized the role of women and girls in safeguarding ideals of resistance and conveying message of Karbala.
Performance of an anthem by the "Eighth Sun" group, eulogy by Ms. Ammar, and recitation of poetry by Aqeel Lawati, an Omani poet, were other parts of this ceremony.
One of the prominent parts of this ceremony was presence of servants of holy shrines of Hazrat Zaynab (SA) and Hazrat Ruqayya (SA) along with the blessed flag of the dome of Hazrat Zaynab shrine. The presence filled atmosphere of the ceremony with a sense of devotion and solidarity among participating lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
This special program ended with an emphasis on continuing path of Hazrat Ruqayya (SA) in protecting religious and human values and remembering martyred girls of the Resistance Front.
