During activities of media Mukib of Imam Reza International University along Arbaeen March route, a Lebanese Sunni scholar and a Nigerian student referred to the massive presence of pilgrims in this gathering, speaking about their perspective on the message of Arbaeen, the status of Imam Hussein (AS), and the continuity of this path.
Referring to the status of Martyred Leader of the revolution and the legacy left by him, the Lebanese Sunni scholar stated: “Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was wise, brave, and committed to his word and covenant. He left a great legacy, especially in the fields of dignity, honor, pride, and endurance of the Islamic Ummah”.
He added: “He supported the Palestinian cause and stood alongside people of Yemen, Lebanon, and many other countries; because wherever there was an oppressed human being, he would enter the field to support them”.
Referring to actions of the Islamic Republic against US policies, this Lebanese scholar continued: “Islamic Republic of Iran performed a great action and defeated project of Trump and America, which was pursued with the aim of plundering resources of Iran and other countries of the Islamic Ummah”.
Expressing hope for the future, he stated: “Future is promising by God's will and the unity of the resistance front will continue. This American and Trumpist project will join the dustbin of history and will not succeed”.
Emphasizing commitment of himself and other attendees on the Arbaeen route to the ideals of Imam Hussein (AS), this Lebanese pilgrim said: “Whether it be victory or martyrdom, we stand by our covenant and pledge ourselves to the free-spirited people and Imam Hussein (AS)”.
He added: “I see millions of lovers and devotees of Imam Hussein (AS) in this pilgrimage who sacrificed their lives and blood to keep Islam alive”.
Emphasizing global nature of message of Ashura, the Sunni scholar went on to say: “In every era, there are Yazids, oppressors, and tyrants. We must be Husseini and stand firmly against oppression”.
Referring to the performance of resistance front against America and the Zionist regime, this Lebanese scholar said: “The resistance forces performed well and rubbed noses of America, Israel, and treacherous countries in the dirt”.
Also, emphasizing patience of the Iranian people in the face of this calamity, he stated: “Victory belongs to the Islamic Republic of Iran and I ask God to protect Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, and the Iranian people”.
Seyyed Husseini, an architectural engineering student from Nigeria living in Mashhad, also referring to his presence in Arbaeen March and stated: “I am from Nigeria and a student of architectural engineering in Mashhad; I have come to this route for Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (AS)”.
Referring to the atmosphere of Arbaeen this year and threats from enemies, this Nigerian student stated: “Despite all threats from enemies who cooperate with America and Israel, this gathering gave a crushing response and Iranians did not make any changes in this massive movement”.
Stating that Arbaeen pilgrimage has continued with more glory than in the past, he noted: “Thank God, after martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, people of the world continued this path with more strength, and nothing changed for the presence of Muslim people”.
In conclusion, Husseini stated: “All people of Iran are standing firmly by the flag, and this flag will not stay on the ground”
It is worth noting that in one of interviews conducted by media Mukib of Imam Reza International University, Chris Hewer, a Christian researcher and educator from England, referred to universal message of Imam Hossain (AS) and described Arbaeen as a manifestation of commitment to truth and justice.
