More than 300 Iraqi Mukib (pilgrim service station) operators visiting Mashhad for a ceremony honoring Hussaini service stations gathered at the Dar al-Zikr Portico of Imam Reza Shrine. During an Arabic-language program, they expressed their devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) through Quran recitation, poetry, religious eulogies, and mourning chants.
The gathering was part of a three-day event hosted by Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) to recognize those who serve pilgrims during Arbaeen and strengthen the spiritual ties between the Iranian and Iraqi peoples.
Held on the morning of Sunday, October 18, the program began at 9:30 a.m. and lasted approximately 30 minutes.
The event’s motto, “Our brotherhood is our strength,” highlighted the role of Mukibs in Arbaeen culture as symbols of solidarity, selfless service, and hospitality.
The Iraqi guests were also scheduled to attend the main recognition ceremony, visit the AQR Museum and the Imam Reza tea houses, serve pilgrims, and participate in a program at the Ghadir Courtyard.
