Imam Reza Congress, vital platform for strengthening unity of Islamic Ummah

Hoj. Sayyid Mortada al-Sanadi, leader of Bahrain’s Tayyar al-Wafa al-Islami movement, underscored the significance of the 6th Imam Reza International Congress held in Mashhad, northeastern Iran.
He said, “This event holds particular importance at the present historical juncture. It plays an effective role in strengthening the unity of the Islamic Ummah and fostering greater convergence among Muslims.”
Pointing to regional developments, he noted ongoing attempts by adversaries to create divisions within the Islamic Ummah.
“Today, adversaries seek to weaken the Resistance Front and the Islamic movement by sowing discord and spreading rumors. Under such circumstances, strengthening unity and raising Muslims’ awareness becomes particularly important,” he said.
Al-Sanadi noted that one of the primary objectives of the adversaries is to create conflict among Muslims and tarnish the image of Islamic and resistance movements.
“Countering this requires clarification, enlightenment, and the accurate communication of realities to public opinion. Such scholarly gatherings provide a platform for dialogue, the exchange of views, and the presentation of key strategies for raising public awareness,” he said.
He highlighted the need for scholars and intellectuals to disseminate their research beyond the confines of the congress so that it can benefit the wider society.
“Media outlets play a crucial role in conveying the knowledge and discussions presented here to the public. Reflecting these debates—especially at a time when the Islamic Ummah needs greater awareness—helps clarify issues and strengthen solidarity,” he said.
