Non‑Iranian pilgrims gather at the shrine for mid-Sha’ban celebrations and the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali Akbar, raising voices of happiness.
As mid-Sha’ban festivities and the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali Akbar approached, non‑Iranian pilgrims who had traveled long distances to visit the sacred shrine of Imam Reza also became guests of the celebratory programs held on this occasion.
A large portion of the non‑Iranian pilgrims consisted of Urdu‑speaking visitors from India and Pakistan, who arrived with hearts filled with love for Imam Reza.
They participated in the celebration of the birth of Hazrat Ali Akbar held in Ghadir Portico of the shrine.
In the celebration, organized by the Subcontinent Section of the Office for Non‑Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi (AQR), attendees recited Ziyarat Aminullah, offering their devotion to the Gracious Imam and congratulating him on the blessed occasion.
Arab‑speaking pilgrims from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE and Lebanon also attended a special celebration in Dar al‑Rahmah Portico.
The spiritual and magnificent gathering features speeches and eulogies, in which non-Iranian listened to hymns and celebratory poems in honor of this auspicious birth and the other blessed occasions of the month of Sha‘ban (the 8th month on the lunar calendar).
