Ayatollah Khamenei’s name shines among Quran presenters of AQR

Name of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei shines among presenters of printed Qurans to Astan Qods Razavi’s Central Library, says Hoj. Seyyed Jalal Hosseini, head of AQR’s Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center.

Depository of printed sources of AQR’s Central Library involves three thousand and five hundred copies of exquisite printed Qurans some of most exquisite of which have been presented by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, says Hoj. Hosseini adding that the collection came to grew by devotion of other donators, benefactors, and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt.
“Among presenters of these holy copies of Quran, martyred Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Tabasi, and Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah are the most outstanding names,” he said.
Hoj. Hosseini added: “Other donors of these works include some institutions and organizations as IRGC, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Bank Melli Iran, AQR’s General Administration of Donations, etc.”.
According to him, the collection contains 541 copies of Quran in 79 languages including English, French, German, Urdu, Russian, Sinhala, Swahili, Thai, Zulu, Shona, etc. “The organization has just started organizing printed Qurans of the library as these works cannot be set in shelves as normal books”.
Concluding his remarks, Hoj. Hosseini also mentioned: “Central Library of Astan Qods Razavi is a cultural center and one-thousand-year-old treasure which is an honor for the Islamic world. This collection of valuable manuscripts represents some parts of Iran’s national and religious identity in the heart of Imam Reza Shrine”.
