According to Soltanifar, the Medical Emergency Center of the shrine is active with full operational power in the first days of the New Year to guarantee health of pilgrims of the shrine during these days. “Ten medical emergency bases are to render services to the visitors and pilgrims of the holy shrine during weekdays; in special occasions, however, the number of bases will be more than 50”.
He added: “Some 30 ambulances, two bus-ambulances, and six professional medical facilities (MP) are on high alert and in pilgrims' service during Nowruz holidays. These fast medical and emergency services will be available even during most crowded hours of the shrine”.
“All bases operate according to the protocols of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. Diseases are classified in 5 levels in that the first three primary levels are fully managed by experienced medical technicians and nurses,” he said.
