As serving Razavi pilgrims inside the shrine is the main and foremost mission of the complex, media is also considered as a serious and strategic arm for realizing AQR goals, Houshmand said.
He added: “The concept of service in this organization has a popular nature and whatever is done in AQR is from the people, with the people, and for the people. On this basis, AQR finds it its duty to bring all these services to the notice of the general public and address questions and needs of people about Imam Reza Shrine”.
Houshmand went on to say: “To fulfil the second goal, developing media contacts at international arena, various messages and feedbacks from audiences in different countries such as Nigeria, Brazil and from Indian subcontinent are received. Imam Reza International Network also works in different languages and has established a wide relationship with audiences in different parts of the world”.
Houshmand further mentioned: “To pursue the goal of publicizing Razavi teachings, various tools such as audio and video media, cyberspace and social networks are used to establish a firm connection between lovers of Imam Reza and his holy shrine so that they can be provided with spiritual feed”.
AQR official also noted the importance of feedback of the audience in media activities of the organization, adding: “One of the issues that has always encouraged activists of the field is the feedback from the audiences at different points; in Africa, for instance, we’ve had a very good experience of this kind”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Houshmand pointed to the audience’s relationship with media programs of the holy shrine, saying: "Sometimes, hundreds of thousands of text messages are sent by the audience for just one program which shows that people have established a deep contact with the holy shrine programs from different places”.
He concluded: “Such feedback is very valuable and encouraging for media servants of Imam Reza Shrine in a way that they can encourage activists of this area to take step in the path of publicizing Razavi culture and knowledge”.
