Shrine city of Mashhad hosts massive turnout of Imam Reza Forces
Devotees across Mashhad, northeast Iran, gathered in a landmark assembly titled "Lashkarian-e Imam Reza" (Imam Reza Forces) to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Eighth Shia Imam and demonstrate spiritual solidarity.

On the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza, the streets leading to Imam Reza Shrine became a scene of profound devotion as massive crowds joined the festive gathering. The event featured vibrant decorations and choral hymns that united pilgrims under the banner of faith and allegiance to the Leader. The assembly, stretching across Imam Reza Street, highlighted the deep spiritual bond shared by participants from all walks of life during the Karamat Ten-Day festivities.
Volunteers and cultural groups organized various activities, including artistic performances and service stations, to enhance the festive atmosphere for the thousands in attendance. Ali, a medical student participating in the event, stated: "The atmosphere here is beyond description; being near the holy presence of Imam Reza provides a unique spiritual feeling." Sajjad Bagheri, a young volunteer who traveled to provide services to pilgrims, explained: "Serving those who visit Imam’s shrine on this auspicious night is a great opportunity that we cherish deeply."
Families and youth played a central role in the festivities, showcasing the transmission of religious values and devotion across generations. Community activists emphasized that the massive turnout serves as a powerful message of national cohesion and commitment to religious ideals. The gathering concluded as a landmark event in the history of Imam Reza Shrine, effectively blending personal pilgrimage with collective social responsibility and hope.
