Iran-Pakistan Razavi Culture event to get underway at Imam Reza Shrine

An Urdu-language literary gathering will bring poets, thinkers, and pilgrims together in a celebration of faith, resistance, and shared cultural ties.

The Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) will host a poetry night and the “Razavi Culture of Iran and Pakistan” event on Sunday, August 10, for Urdu-speaking pilgrims.
The literary gathering, attended by a group of intellectuals, poets, and cultural figures, will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Ghadir Portico of the holy shrine.
During the program, several Urdu-language poets, including Seyyed Akbar Mousavi, Seyyed Gholamreza Razavi, Seyyed Hasnain Haider, Seyyed Naqi Abidi, Seyyed Hossein Haider, Alfat Hossein Joya, Seyyed Tahrir Naqvi, and Seyyed Tahrir Ali Naqvi, will recite works focused on struggle, steadfastness, and the logic of resistance in Islamic thought.
Organizers say the event offers a meaningful opportunity to connect language, poetry, and Islamic teachings within the sacred setting of the Imam Reza Shrine.
Through their verses, the participating poets are expected to present a vivid picture of a culture rooted in resistance and perseverance, while deepening the spiritual and intellectual bond between pilgrims and the shrine.
The program is part of broader efforts to create cultural and religious spaces for Urdu-speaking visitors and to strengthen engagement with the values associated with Imam Reza Shrine.
