AQR Custodian Offers Condolences on Passing of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani

The text of Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi’s condolence message is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The passing of the divine scholar, profound jurist, and high-ranking source of emulation in the Shia world, Grand Ayatollah Haj Seyyed Musa Shobeiri Zanjani, may Allah be pleased with him, has caused profound grief and sorrow.
I extend my condolences on this great loss to the sacred presence of Imam Mahdi (AS), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Grand Ayatollahs, the seminaries, eminent scholars, students and devotees of the late scholar, and especially to his honorable family and his virtuous and learned children.
Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani was among those great jurists who combined profound seminary knowledge with years of study and research into the scholarly heritage of Shia Islam, attaining a distinguished rank in jurisprudence.
Alongside his high scholarly standing, that wise jurist was endowed with noble moral qualities, humility, a simple way of life, and inner purity. He had a close connection, intimate relationship, and long-standing friendship with the Martyred Leader of the Revolution. An ascetic life free from worldly attachments was also among his distinguished qualities.
For me, the years of connection and association with him and the blessing of benefiting from his presence are among the most valuable memories and spiritual assets of my life and service. His presence embodied a combination of knowledge and virtue, humility, tranquility, and purity of soul, and every meeting with him was an opportunity to learn from and benefit from a divine scholar.
Beside the luminous shrine of Imam Reza (AS), I pray to Almighty God to bestow abundant mercy upon that divine scholar and elevate his ranks, and to grant patience and divine reward to his honorable family, students, devotees, and all his relatives.
