AQR holds international Quranic gathering for female pilgrims

Astan Quds Razavi has held an international Quranic gathering for female pilgrims at Imam Reza Shrine to commemorate Imam Hussein (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala.

International Quranic gathering titled “A Gift to Imam Hussein (AS) and Martyrs of Karbala” was held in Ghadir portico of the holy shrine of Imam Reza holy shrine having over 350 female pilgrims from different countries including Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran.
The program was conducted coinciding with mourning days of month of Muharram. This spiritual gathering began with melodious recitation of Surah al-Fajr by Ms. Maram Zein, a reciter and memorizer of holy Quran from Syria.
In continuation of the program, Ms. Barghmadi, director of Hazrat Narjes (SA) Reciter House Institute, referred to the position of Quran in Imam Hussein’s (AS) movement and mentioned: “It is necessity to nurture a Quranic generation and to strengthen connection of society with divine teachings”.
Also, in the same ceremony, Hoj. Mehrizian, explained connection between concepts of al-Fajr Surah and movement of Ashura, elucidating Ashura’s cognitive and educational messages.
Performance of symbolic programs, interviewing Quran memorizers and their families, and sharing their Quranic experiences were among other parts of this international gathering. At the end of the ceremony, several female memorizers of entire Quran were honored with blessed gifts.
