Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, paid a visit to the shrine of Hussein ibn Musa al Kazim in Tabas during his recent trip to Tabas, in South Khorasan Province, eastern Iran.
He was accompanied by Hoj. Takmili, Friday prayer leader of Tabas, Nasiri representing Tabas, Ferdows, Bashruyeh, Sarayan, and Eshqabad constituencies in Majlis (Iranian parliament), along with provincial and local officials.
The minister’s arrival was warmly welcomed by Hoj. Ahmadi, CEO of the shrine’s foundation and the Shahid Modarres pilgrimage site, together with a group of shrine servants.
During the gathering, Hoj. Ahmadi presented a report on recent initiatives in pilgrimage tourism and outlined strategies to transform the shrine into a major hub for religious tourism in eastern Iran. He also reviewed progress on the Miqat al Reza projects, designed to expand facilities for pilgrims traveling toward Mashhad.
The visit underscored the shrine’s growing role not only as a spiritual center but also as a cultural and tourism landmark, with potential to attract greater numbers of domestic and international visitors.
