AQR issues Notice No. 4 regarding Martyred Leader’s funeral and burial ceremonies

155
AQR outlines detailed arrangements for the funeral prayers and mourning ceremonies in Imam Reza Shrine, following funeral ceremonies in Tehran, Qom, and Iraq.

Following the magnificent, million-strong processions and farewell ceremonies for the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, and Karbala, the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad is preparing to welcome the servant of Imam Reza and the Leader of the nation, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to demonstrate once more the renewal of allegiance to the concept of Velayat.
Alongside the preparation of service infrastructure for pilgrims, Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) has coordinated specific cultural and promotional programs for the funeral and burial ceremonies of the Martyred Leader as follows:
Upon the conclusion of the funeral procession along Imam Reza Street, prayers will be held for the Martyred Leader and other deceased members of his family within Imam Reza Shrine.
Given that the Great Prophet Courtyard and surrounding courtyards serve as the terminal point of the procession route and are designated for the movement of pilgrims, the main prayer lines will be established in the northern section of the holy shrine, extending along Sheikh Tabarsi Street.
Furthermore, mourning ceremonies featuring reciters of the Household of the Prophet and international reciters of the Holy Quran will be held continuously, with the Great Prophet Courtyard serving as the primary hub for these events.
AQR once again invites all devotees to participate in this grand ceremony. All attendees are respectfully requested to exercise patience and calm, and to maintain the necessary cooperation with the servants at Astan Qods Razavi.
