Devotees gathered at Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, northeast Iran, on the seventh night after the burial of the Martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to commemorate his life and conduct and reaffirm their allegiance to the path of resistance.

Seven nights have passed since the sorrowful farewell to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, whose body was laid to rest within the hallowed grounds of Imam Reza Shrine.
To mark this occasion, a large commemoration ceremony was held at Great Prophet Courtyard under the auspices of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR).
Supporters of the Martyred Leader gathered with raised red banners, echoing chants that underscored their unwavering resolve and loyalty to his revolutionary ideals.
Hoj. Hossein Gharani addressed the assembly, drawing critical parallels between the historical events of Ashura and contemporary political conditions.
He maintained: "Muawiyah advised Yazid in his final days not to confront Imam Hussein, warning that such a confrontation would lead to the destruction of the Umayyad dynasty."
The speaker asserted that history demonstrates the inherent treachery of enemies, a pattern he argued persists in modern times.
“The Martyred Leader consistently opposed compromising with hostile powers, viewing such negotiations as neither rational nor honorable’, Hoj. Gharani noted.
He went on to say: "The Martyred Leader remained a follower of Imam Hussein’s school of thought until his final moments, never retreating from his principles."
The speaker emphasized that the Leader's stance was rooted in a belief that honor, independence, and resistance must take precedence over any form of reconciliation with global arrogance.
“The Iranian nation, inspired by the culture of Ashura and the sacrifice of the Master of Martyrs, would never submit to external pressures”, Hoj. Gharani concluded.
He stressed that the people remain ready to safeguard the country's dignity and independence. The evening concluded with epic elegies performed by traditional eulogists, further deepening the collective mourning of the faithful.
