The Head of Astan Qods Razavi’s Scientific and Cultural Organization characterized the funeral and burial ceremonies of the Martyred Leader in Mashhad as the most significant historical event of the modern era, emphasizing its role in preserving the legacy of the Revolution.

During a special session convened by the Custodian of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) with various scientific, cultural, and social elites, the Head of AQR’s Scientific and Cultural Organization highlighted the spiritual significance of Mashhad, northeast Iran.
Dr. Talebi noted: “The city, already blessed by the presence of Imam Reza Shrine, is preparing to host the earthly remains of the Martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who dedicated his life to defending Islamic values and the principles of the Household of the Prophet”.
The official asserted that the farewell ceremony for the Martyred Leader transcends a typical funeral. “It represents a lasting imprint on the historical memory of the Islamic nation and the conscience of global seekers of justice”.
“This event will document, for future generations, the profound connection between the Iranian nation and the ideals of the Revolution, resistance, and religious leadership”, Dr. Talebi added.
Referring to the Martyred Leader’s tireless efforts to build a new Islamic civilization, the official stated: “Mashhad bears the honor of hosting the body of a leader who charted the path for the realization of these high ideals”.
He emphasized that hosting this ceremony imposes a double responsibility on all government agencies, elites, and the general public to serve pilgrims with distinction and ensure the ceremony is conducted in a manner befitting the occasion.
The official concluded by expressing hope that this monumental event will pave the way for greater success in service, continuous struggle, and the promotion of Islamic teachings.
He ended his remarks by reciting verses composed by the Martyred Leader in praise of Imam Reza Shrine, framing them as a spiritual farewell for his eternal return to the side of the Gracious Imam.
