Imam Reza Shrine hosts 2nd Night of Destiny vigil

Imam Reza Shrine hosts 2nd Night of Destiny vigil
Imam Reza Shrine, in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, hosted another vigil ceremony on the second Night of Destiny (Laylatolghadr in Arabic), which coincided with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali, the 1st Shia Imam.

This year’s vigil ceremony was totally different in that it coincided with hectic days and nights for Iran and Revolution as both are under cruel attacks by the Israeli regime and the criminal US government.
People are also mourning the martyrdom of their late Leader, Ayat. Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was martyred in a US-Israeli attack on March 1.
Pilgrims flocked to the shrine with hearts full of hope and tongues praying to the triumph of righteousness against evil.
The vigil ceremony was held on March 10 at 21 hrs with a special program dubbed ‘Imam of Ummah’ at Imam Khomeini Portico of the shrine.
The program features prayers, Quran recitation, elegies, etc.
In another part of the event, excerpts from a recent speech by the Martyred Leader was screened across the shrine courtyards.
Also, a special program was run at Dar al-Rahmah Portico for Arabic-speaking pilgrims from Bahrain, Syria, Oman, etc.
Elsewhere, pilgrims from Imam Reza International University (IRIU) were listening to a lecture on the position of righteousness in Imam Ali’s life and conduct, and a historical look at animosity with the concept of Velayat (Guardianship).
