Imam (AS) Central Pharmacy in Mashhad assumes role of Mashhad University of Medical Science’s designated pharmacy to bolster medicinal support during Martyred Leader’s funeral procession.

In anticipation of the increased influx of pilgrims attending the funeral procession of the Martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, a comprehensive supply plan has been implemented in Mashhad, northeast Iran.
The initiative is being executed by the Razavi Pharmaceutical Services Institute of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR), which has designated Imam (AS) Central Pharmacy as the " Mashhad University of Medical Science’s designated pharmacy."
Under the directive of Dr. Hasheminejad, CEO of the institute, the facility has entered a state of operational readiness, tripling or quadrupling its capacity for supplying medicine, serum, and essential medical equipment.
The "designated university pharmacy" title is an appointment by the Medical University to strengthen pharmaceutical support during critical conditions.
Facilities receiving this designation are tasked with supporting the city's medical network during surges in patient visits, potential shortages, or the need for rapid provision of vital items.
Dr. Hasheminejad noted: "Given the extensive presence of pilgrims from across the country, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences has designated Imam (AS) Central Pharmacy as the 'designated university pharmacy' to ensure that complete support for medical centers, hospitals, and clinics in the field of pharmaceutical supply is carried out without interruption."
The entire human resource capacity of the institute has been activated to ensure maximum access to various serums, injectable drugs, and emergency items, including critical medications for hemophilia, thalassemia, and transplant patients.
Dr. Hasheminejad added: "Emergency carts in city clinics and medical offices have been fully equipped and replenished under this plan to guarantee rapid response to potential patient surges."
