Palestinians stand by Imam Hussein (AS) until victory: Al-Aqsa mosque prayer leader

Linking suffering of Palestinian people with oppression imposed on Imam Hussein (AS) and describing Arbaeen as a manifestation of Muslim solidarity, prayer leader of Al-Aqsa Mosque stresses perseverance of Palestinians against the arrogance front until victory.

In an interview with reporter of Imam Reza International University’s Media Mukib somewhere in Arbaeen rally, prayer leader of Al-Aqsa Mosque referred to the status of Imam Hussein (AS) among Muslims and spoke about the deep bond between Palestinian people, the cause of Ashura, and standing against oppression.
Prayer leader of Al-Aqsa Mosque stated: “We have come with this great caravan and once again say to our master Hussein (AS) and our master Ali (AS) that we Palestinians belong to you and we return to you”.
He added: “Just as our master Hussein (AS) was oppressed in Karbala, today people of Palestine also face oppression and tyranny, and we consider ourselves beside Hussein (AS) and we are from Hussein (AS)”.
This Palestinian scholar continued: “As long as we fight, we will demand our rights and rights of the Palestinian people from the oppressor; we will stand firm on this path”.
Pointing to the link between movement of Imam Hussein (AS) and the resistance of Palestinian people, prayer leader of Al-Aqsa Mosque noted: “We consider ourselves successors of Imam Hussein (AS) and we always remember the tragedy of Karbala; because Karbala taught us to stand against oppression”.
He further stressed: “We will remain on this path until Imam Hussein (AS) is satisfied; we will strive to defend the rights of the Palestinian people”.
This Palestinian scholar further referred to the presence of pilgrims from different countries in Arbaeen walk and stated: “We invite people to Karbala rally to tell Shia and Sunni people of Iraq that we are with you”.
He added: “We are one nation and one Ummah and we will be by your side, and by God's will, we will stand on this path until victory”.
It is worth noting that during activities of media Mukib of Imam Reza International University on the Arbaeen walking route, Chris Hewer, a Christian researcher and educator from England, previously referred to the universal message of Imam Hussein (AS) and stated that the goal of justice, truth, and standing by principles concerns all human beings, and this invitation is not limited only to individuals or a specific group.
