With millions of pilgrims expected for the funeral and burial ceremonies of the Martyred Leader, vast measures have been implemented across fifteen roadside complexes leading to the city. These mukibs have been prepared under the auspices of various organizations, including the Khademyar Center, Razavi Service Canons, Friday prayer offices, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), municipalities, and various state and non-state agencies.
According to Safarzadeh, director of Imam Reza Roadside Mukibs, “Peak pilgrim traffic is anticipated for Tuesday, July 7, and Wednesday, July 8, for arrivals, with return travel expected on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11. Despite these projections, some mourning caravans have already commenced their journey; for instance, 15 buses carrying mourners from Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province recently stopped at the Eslamiyeh roadside complex to receive services”.
To honor the somber occasion, the complexes have undergone significant visual updates. This includes the installation of condolence banners, black flags, and updated signage to guide travelers. Essential services, including hot meals, tea, snacks, emergency accommodation, restrooms, and basic medical care, are available at all sites. Coordination with local authorities and emergency services has been finalized to ensure seamless support for these service stations.
