Evaluation shows Imam Reza Intl. University has capacity to enroll more international students

Dr. Balaei, secretary of the working group on monitoring and oversight of international students at the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, visited the International Affairs Department of Imam Reza International University.
During the visit, he commended the department’s structured measures and high admission standards, stating that the university has the capacity to enroll international students beyond its current ceiling, subject to obtaining the necessary permits from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Dr. Ebrahim Davoodi, Director of International Affairs, reported on the department’s programs, noting, “Astan Qods Razavi (AQR) has formulated specific international objectives to advance science diplomacy alongside its academic missions.”
Fatemeh Rajabi, Director of the Persian Language Education Center, also highlighted the expansion of Persian language diplomacy in Central Asia, including the compilation of a textbook focusing on the teachings of Imam Reza and the organization of instructor capacity-building courses in collaboration with the Saadi Foundation.
Meanwhile, university officials addressed challenges in recruiting international students, identifying lengthy administrative procedures, delays in visa issuance, and consular bottlenecks involving the Immigration and Passports Police as factors that may lead to student attrition.
At the conclusion of the visit, the officials toured various sections of the department to observe student-related administrative procedures firsthand.
