Transparency in fulfilling donors’ intentions boosts public donations to AQR

Alireza Esmailzadeh identified transparency in expenditure, timely reporting, and the tangible social impact of donations as the main factors contributing to increased public participation.
“In recent years, donations have become a key focus for both AQR and the Custodian, serving as a critical resource for development,” he said.
He added that donations now not only cover part of the operational and construction costs of the holy shrine but also make a significant contribution to social services, assistance to vulnerable groups, healthcare, and development projects outside the shrine complex.
Emphasizing the grassroots nature of this process, the Director-General said: “People have received support for their needs through Imam Reza, while at the same time, they have tangibly witnessed the social blessings and outcomes of their offerings. This experience has paved the way for the continuity and growth of their participation.”
Esmailzadeh continued: “The experience of recent years has shown that wherever there is transparency and tangible effectiveness in the field of donations, public trust increases, and this trust has laid the foundation for the growth of donation resources.”
