Razavi Treasury safeguards martyred Leader’s legacy

Hoj. Seyed Jalal Hosseini, head of Astan Qods Razavi’s (AQR) Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center, has outlined a comprehensive program to preserve the legacy of Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Writing during the Arbaeen period following the burial of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Hoj. Hosseini described the preserved materials as more than archival sources. “These works are a guiding light for future generations.”
The collection includes manuscripts, scholarly writings, messages, correspondence, photographs, films, reports of meetings and personal belongings. Hoj. Hosseini noted that safeguarding these data-x-items must go beyond their physical preservation.
“We are duty-bound to convey his thought, conduct, leadership style, political prudence, pursuit of justice, profound spirituality, and attention to culture, science and art in a language understandable for today’s and tomorrow’s generations,” he explained.
He maintained that the materials document not merely an individual life, but major chapters of Iran’s contemporary history, including Islamic Revolution, Sacred Defense, years of sanctions, pressure and national resistance.
Under the aegis of Imam Reza, AQR has designed and implemented a program to collect, organize, restore, classify and digitize documents and artifacts related to Martyred Leader. The initiative seeks to turn a raw archive into a living resource for researchers, academics, seminary students, media professionals, artists and the public.
The first phase focuses on scientifically cataloguing written, visual and audio-visual material. Documents concerning political thought, jurisprudence, Quranic interpretation, literature, culture, resistance, youth, family, science, technology and Islamic world are being classified by subject.
A second phase covers museum objects and personal belongings, which Hoj. Hosseini said reflect simplicity, order, public engagement and devotion. AQR is also establishing an image database covering public appearances, travels, meetings and critical decision-making moments.
The final phase envisages thematic exhibitions in Mashhad, Tehran, Qom and other cities, alongside digital and multimedia platforms providing online access to selected documents.
