Razavi Hospital and Habib Yar Hospital of Afghanistan sign MoU

The memorandum of understanding was signed in the presence of Arbab Khales, head of the representative office of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in northeastern Iran; Dr. Ejaz, head of Habib Yar International Hospital of Afghanistan; and Dr. Mohsen Mehvar, CEO of Razavi Hospital.
Under the terms of the MoU, Razavi Specialized and Subspecialized Hospital will facilitate the admission process and provision of medical services for patients referred by Habib Yar International Hospital.
Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Dr. Mohsen Mehvar said: “This cooperation can facilitate Afghan patients’ access to the medical services they need and make the admission and treatment process more streamlined and targeted.”
Mehvar identified the activation of kidney transplantation services as one of the key areas of cooperation under the MoU, adding: “This service will be pursued with the permission of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and can provide Afghan patients with access to specialized kidney transplantation services in Iran.”
The CEO of Razavi Hospital continued: “This capacity can play an effective role in expanding medical cooperation and strengthening health tourism between Iran and Afghanistan.”
Referring to the potential for expanding cooperation in scientific and specialized fields, Mehvar said: “Cooperation with Habib Yar International Hospital can also provide opportunities for exchanging knowledge and experience, conducting training programs, and expanding professional interactions between the medical staff of the two hospitals.”
He added: “Our goal is to ensure that this cooperation does not remain merely at the level of signing a memorandum, but that the process of providing medical services to patients from Afghanistan becomes operational as soon as possible.”
