Imam Reza’s legal perspectives have gained global prominence

A specialized panel on human dignity and rights in the monotheistic thought of Imam Reza was held at the Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR).
Gathering international experts in Mashhad, northeastern Iran, the session was part of the 6th Imam Reza International Congress and examined the legal and civilizational dimensions of justice and resistance.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Anwar Al-Tawil, a Palestinian legal expert from Mansoura University in Egypt, addressed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, highlighting systematic attacks on vital resources and essential infrastructure.
He stated: “Israel uses American warplanes to bombard Gaza, leaving people with no peace or hope of survival.”
Citing the Holy Quran, he explained: “Environmental and energy resources belong to all humanity.”
Al-Tawil noted: “Many nations possess nuclear power, yet it is denied to Iran despite its pursuit of peaceful nuclear technology within legitimate legal frameworks.”
Elsewhere, Seyed Taha Adel Mohammad Mojahed, head of the secretariat of Yemen’s Justice Future Movement in Iran, examined human dignity and political authority from the perspective of the Martyred Leader.
He maintained: “The Martyred Leader taught us the authentic pathways of resistance and possessed a profound understanding of the struggle.”
Citing narrations from the eighth Imam, he pointed out: “Imam Reza affirmed that leadership ensures the integrity of the path; the community inevitably requires a guiding jurist to achieve unity, resilience, and success.”
Also speaking, Hoj. Dr. Sabiti Angwe, a private law specialist from Al-Mustafa International University, explained that the Martyred Leader’s conception of justice corresponds directly with the teachings of the Prophet and Ahl al-Bayt.
He remarked: “True justice is comprehensive and returns to individual conscience before impacting society.”
He added: “Imam Ali demonstrated the highest standard of justice by placing everything in its rightful position, a universal principle extending to all living beings.”
Christopher Helali, a former US Army officer and member of the International Federation of Journalists, delivered a virtual address on anti-imperialism.
He explained: “Imam Reza is recognized worldwide for his legal perspectives on defending human rights and confronting oppression.”
He concluded: “Standing against tyrants was fundamental to the Prophet’s call for world peace, and Iran consistently defends nations like Palestine out of this moral responsibility.”
