Pilgrims mourn Leader's martyrdom at Imam Reza Shrine with chants of "Haidar"
Pilgrims have swarmed Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, northeast Iran, to mourn the martyrdom of the Late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayat. Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was martyred in Israeli-US strike on his office on March 1.
Thousands of pilgrims gathered in Imam Reza Shrine on the morning of March 1 to express their profound grief following the martyrdom of the Late Leader.
Mourners, overwhelmed with sorrow, waved the picture of the Late Leader, chanting 'Down with Israel' and ' Down with the US'.
The Great Prophet Courtyard was the venue where mourners had gathered to perform the passing prayers for the late Ayat. Khamenei, the Great Leader.
The mourners once again staged an epic ceremony in defense of the ideals of the late Leader and on response to the arch enemies of Iran -- the Israeli regime and the US.
Meanwhile, the mourning crowds were stirred with sermons and eulogies, chanting 'Haidar, Haidar' (a nickname of Imam Ali, first Shia Imam).
At the same time, Shohada Square in the city of Mashhad, hosted other mourning processions.
