According to Mehdi Lesani, director in charge of Non-Iranian pilgrims’ affairs, a new framework has been created for visitors seeking subjects related to the Islamic Revolution, organizational work, and cultural-activist training”.
He described the effort as an innovative model shaped under the auspices of cooperating cultural institutions, i.e. Khaneye Enghelab.
Lesani said the plan includes visits to the residence of the martyred Leader in Mashhad.
Groups from multiple countries have already participated in these visits.
The program began during the anniversary period of the Islamic Revolution in February under the Gregorian calendar. “The initiative attracted significant attention from non-Iranian pilgrims.”
Two specialized sessions were held during the Revolution anniversary period.
“Two additional sessions in Urdu were organized for visitors during Mid-Shaban festivities (the 8th month on the lunar Islamic calendar)”, he added.
Lesani continued that other seminars focused on organizational skills for Islamic associations and introductory training for cultural activism.
The director added that Persian-language instruction has also been offered and is ongoing.
He noted: “Services related to this initiative have so far been provided to pilgrims from Afghanistan, India, Lebanon, Syria, and Pakistan”.
Lesani went on to say: “The distinct feature of the program is its tailored design for non-Iranian pilgrims, aiming to provide structured educational and cultural engagement during their stay in Mashhad”.
