Imam Reza Shrine hosts Urdu-speaking pilgrims at 40th day of martyrdom ceremony for late Leader
Imam Reza Shrine, in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, is scheduled to host a ceremony for the 40th day of martyrdom of late Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for Urdu‑speaking pilgrims and residents.
The program titled “Powerful Leader” will be organized under the auspices of Subcontinent Department of Office for Non‑Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Qods Razavi (AQR).
The ceremony, to be held on April 9 from 15:30 to 17:30 in Ghadir Portico of Imam Reza Shrine, will be attended by Urdu‑speaking pilgrims and some residents of Mashhad.
Recitation of verses from the Holy Quran dedicated to pure soul of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, religious speech and presentation of Islamic teachings, elegy recitation, and supplication will be among main parts of ceremony.
The program will also include poetry recitation by Urdu-speaking religious poets.
