Large gathering of pilgrims and servants held collective recitation of Tawassul prayer at Imam Reza Shrine, in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, to mark the 40th day of martyrdom of late Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

On Wednesday evening, April 8, a collective recitation ceremony of Tawassul prayer was held in Enghelab Eslami Courtyard of Imam Reza Shrine to commemorate the 40th day of the martyrdom of late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayat. Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
A large number of pilgrims, servants, and voluntary servants of shrine attended the ceremony, which began at 20:00.
Participants turned to Ahl al‑Bayt in supplication, praying for hastening reappearance of Imam Mahdi, the 12th Imam in Shia Islam. Prayers were also offered for dignity of Islam and victory of fighters of Islam and Resistance Front.
At the beginning of the ceremony, special salutation of Imam Reza was broadcast in voice of the martyred Leader. Sound of this salutation resonated across the shrine courtyards and created a deeply spiritual atmosphere among attendees. Pilgrims and servants commemorated memory of that devout scholar while reciting salutation together.
During the ceremony, Tawassul prayer was also recited. Participants invoked names of Shia Imams and offered prayers for strengthening of Islamic community and continuation of the path of martyrs.
The event was broadcast live on Channel Three of national television, enabling audiences across the country to join pilgrims and servants of Imam Reza Shrine in this spiritual gathering.
At the conclusion of the program, participants chanted epic and anti‑arrogance slogans. They once again reaffirmed loyalty to ideals of the Islamic Revolution, Islamic Guardianship, and path of martyrs.
